Ski cross-country skiing winter sport trip About 13 km south from the 781-hors castle hotel Black Forest lies the winter sport town Schonach, one of the most well-known winter sport towns in the Black Forest. With its different winter sport areas it offers varied winter sport possibilites. Nordic ski sports such as cross-country skiing, ski jumping and ski flying as well as alpine ski sports and toboggan is offered here. In Schonach there are two ski lifts, each about 350 meters long, which bring the ski drivers and snowboarders to the ski slope. Besides this, a lift network with the winter sport town Schonwald, which is about 6 km south. The ski pass is valid in both towns. Schonach and Schonwald build a cohesive ski region. Ski departure and snowboarding is possible on the slopes. Amateurs or those who want to better up their know-how in ski riding or snowboarding, can participate in a ski lesson or snowboard instruction in a ski school or a snowboard school in Schonach.
